(Seattle, Wash.) – The Seattle Sounders played a superb defensive game, and defender Kevin Sakuda made his first start of the season a memorable one with a sweetly struck goal in the first half to put away the Edmonton Aviators 1-0 Wednesday night at Quest Field.
A fast-paced first half saw the Sounders control most of the run of play and have the majority of the scoring chances. Roger Levesque and Welton were particularly dangerous up front, with midfielder Jonathan Bolanos providing them excellent service in his home debut for the Sounders.

The Seattle Sounders Women take on the third place Edmonton Aviators Women Wednesday July 7th at 4 PM in a double header with the men’s team at Seahawks Stadium.
The Sounders Women defeated the Aviators Women in early June while on a seven game road trip. The Aviators out shot the Sounders Women 12-8, but the Sounders came out on top with a 2-1 victory. Ranked fifth in goals scored for the league, forward Brenda Mueller had one of her nine goals during the match.

(Seattle, Wash) -- The Seattle Sounders Women defeated the Edmonton Aviators Women 2-1 at the newly named Qwest Field in Seattle on Wednesday night. Forward Nikki Gamble scored off a cross from midfielder Chelise Baysa. Tina Fringpong sealed the win for the Sounders Women with a goal late in the game.
Forward Brenda Mueller played a solid first half, with four shots on goal. Mueller had one goal but it was called back due to a hand ball. Mueller was substituted in the second half.

(St. Paul, Minn.) –Frustrated by their opponent’s strong defense, and the officials, the Seattle Sounders dropped a, 3-0, decision to the Minnesota Thunder in A-League action Sunday at Griffin Stadium. With the loss, the Sounders once again find themselves under .500 at 6-7-2.

(Milwaukee, Wisc.) –Jonathan Bolanos set up both goals as the Seattle Sounders played to a, 2-2, tie with the Milwaukee Wave United at Uhlein Stadium in A-League action Friday. The tie leaves Seattle with a 6-6-2 record half way through the 2004 season.
The teams traded goals in the first half with the Sounders striking first.

(Seattle, Wash.) - - The Seattle Sounders released midfielder Robbie Aristodemo, earlier this week. Signed in April, Aristodemo played 398 minutes in eight games with four shots.
SLEETH SUFFERS STRESS FRACTURE, OUT 3-4 WEEKS
Defender / midfielder Billy Sleeth suffered a stress fracture in his left foot, the same foot he has fractured twice before.
The stress fracture was discovered after the game in Charleston on June 26th. After returning home, team doctors diagnosed Sleeth with a stress fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.

(Seattle, WA) – The Seattle Sounders today announced special Chelsea / Celtic ticket packages that are coupled with vouchers good for any of the eight remaining Sounder home games at Qwest Field.
After selling out their initial allotment, the Sounders received additional $45 and $60 Chelsea / Celtic seats from Champions World, promoter of the European soccer tour.

(Charleston, SC) –For the third time this season the Seattle Sounders won the back end of a two-game road trip. The Sounders had dropped a game in Atlanta just 24 hours earlier, but behind two goals from Welton, they bounced back and defeated the Charleston Battery, 3-1, in A-League action Friday at Blackbaud Stadium.
After being held scoreless in each of their past two matches, Seattle struck twice in the first half.

(Norcross, Ga.) –The Seattle Sounders started a key four game road trip with a 1-0, loss to the Altanta Silverbacks in A-League action Friday at Dekalb Memorial Stadium. The setback pushes the Sounders record back under .500 at 5-6-1. The Sounders created a number of first half-scoring chances but came up empty.

(Seattle, Wash.) - - The Seattle Sounders left today for their first east coast road trip since 2001. The Sounders travel to Atlanta to play the Silverbacks on June 25th and the 2003 A-League Champion Charleston Battery on June 26th.
The Atlanta Silverbacks (8-3-1, 25pts) are currently third in the Eastern Conference and working on a seven game winning streak. The Silverback’s last loss was on May 22nd against the Virginia Beach Mariners, a loss that eliminated both the Sounders and Silverbacks from the U.S. Open Cup.
