The Seattle Sounders met the winless Toronto Lynx on Saturday, May 20th in front of 3,051 fans at Qwest Field. New Sounder Forward Jamal Sutton helped the Sounders secure a 2-0 victory for their first win of the season. An insurance goal in the 70th minute by Forward Craig Tomlinson handed the Lynx their fourth consecutive 2-0 loss of the season.

The 2005 USL First Division Champion Seattle Sounders look to earn their first victory of the 2006 season when they face the Toronto Lynx this Saturday, May 20th at Qwest Field. Looking to have a handful of injured players back, the Sounders wrap up a string of three games in seven days when Toronto visits Seattle. Kick off is set for 7pm at Qwest Field.

On a warm May evening, the Seattle Sounders fell to the Rochester Raging Rhinos 2-1. The Sounders were hoping to halt a Rhinos team that had been undefeated before their trip to QWEST field, and not allowed a goal all season. Both teams would battle hard for the win throughout the 90 minute cross-country showdown.

The defending champion Seattle Sounders wrap up a stretch of three games in seven days taking on the undefeated Rochester Raging Rhinos Wednesday May 17th and then the Toronto Lynx on Saturday May 20th. Kick off for both matches are scheduled for 7pm at Qwest Field.

The USL First Division announced today the Team of the Week for Week 4. Seattle Sounders’ Defender Ben Somoza was selected as one of the week’s best for his solid performance in the match against Melvin Tarley and the Minnesota Thunder on May 13th.

The defending USL Champion Seattle Sounders took the field against the Minnesota Thunder Saturday night with an air of confidence. The Sounders came out hoping to avenge their 4-0 loss to Minnesota in front of a packed and rowdy Qwest field crowd.

The defending champion Seattle Sounders make their 2006 USL First Division home debut Saturday, May 13th at Qwest Field against the Minnesota Thunder. Prior to kickoff the Sounders will unveil the club’s championship banner from high atop Qwest Field. Kick off on May 13th is set for 7pm.

The Seattle Sounders add one of the health industry’s leading sports medicine providers, Virginia Mason Sports Medicine to it’s 2006 staff. Located in Seattle, the Virginia Mason Sports Medicine Clinic is the Sounders’ new home for injury prevention and rehabilitation.

On an overcast Sunday in Seattle the Chivas USA defeated the Seattle Sounders 1-0 in regulation. The friendly match and crowd of 5,633 at Qwest Field were both lucky to have the sun poke through to occasionally contrast the cold and windy weather. The game’s only goal was grabbed by former Sounder Brent Whitfield.
