A total of 40 teams, including the Seattle Sounders, will compete in the 2007 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup when it kicks off in June for 94th consecutive year. Seattle’s last deep run into the cup came in 2003 when they defeated that San Jose Earthquakes from MLS in the fourth round and lost to the L.A. Galaxy in the quarter-finals.

(Seattle, WA) – The Seattle Sounders have the seventh and 20th overall picks in the upcoming 2007 USL First Division College Player Draft, which will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24. The draft, which begins at 12 noon Pacific Time, will be conducted via conference call.
