Seattle Sounders French sensation Sebastien Le Toux earned USL First Division All League First Team honor on Tuesday.
The first year forward finished tied for the league lead in goals scored with ten and second in overall points with 22. His relentless pressure on opposing defenses was noted by head coach Brian Schmetzer as being key to the Sounders success through the summer.
2005 USL First Division Defender of the Year Taylor Graham and the Sounders leading scorer in 2005 Roger Levesque were selected to the USL First Division All League Second Team for their contributions to the Sounders Commissioner’s Cup winning season.
Notably absent from the list was Sounders goal keeper Chris Eylander, who finished first in the league in wins and saves, second in shutouts and third in goals against average and was key in the Sounders nine 1-0 victories on the season. Portland goal keeper Josh Wicks was honored as keeper of the year and Montreal’s Matt Jordan was selected to the USL First Division second team.
Former Seattle Sounder Andrew Gregor was selected to the USL First Division All League First team for his contributions to the Portland Timber season.
