TRIO OF SOUNDERS NAMED TO TEAM OF THE WEEK
Posted 6/19/2007

A trio of Seattle Sounders earned USL First Division team of the week honors for their nationally televised performance in the 1-0 victory over the Carolina Railhawks.

Sebastien Le Toux and Danny Jackson both earned their second selection of the season while Chris Eylander was honored for preserving his second consecutive clean sheet.

Le Toux tallied the only goal against Carolina with a sublime chip over keeper after Jackson’s header put him behind the Railhawks backline. The win takes the Sounders unbeaten streak to five matches, four of which have been played away from Qwest Field.

The Sounders return home for a benefit match at Starfire Sports Entertainment Complex Wednesday June 20th against the 2006 All Nations Cup Champions, Russia. Tickets are $10 and are available at the game.

Saturday night the squad returns to regular season play at Qwest Field against the Montreal Impact. Kick-off for the match is 7:00 PM and tickets are available through SeattleSounders.net.
