SOUNDERS FACE ALL NATIONS CUP SQUAD IN BENEFIT WEDNESDAY NIGHT

The Seattle Sounders will face the 2006 All Nations Cup Champions, Russia at 7:30 PM Wednesday night at the Starfire Sports Entertainment Complex. Tickets to the match are $10 and are available at the gate. All Proceeds go to benefit Sister Communities, the non-profit organization which organizes the All Nations Cup.

The All Nations Cup is an annual tournament featuring players from Seattle’s recreational soccer leagues, divided top represent their countries of origin. This year’s tournament runs from July 13th through July 29th.

Team Russia was the only undefeated team in last year’s tournament and features local players Elliot Fauske, Mark Walton and Vadim Tolstolutsky. Their victory over the defending champion United States squad in front of over 1,000 fans in the final was one of the highlights of the tournament.

In addition to the soccer matches, the tournament also features food and entertainment representing cultures from around the World. More information is available at www.allnationscup.org.

The Sounders next regular season home match is Saturday night, June 23rd, against the Montreal Impact at Qwest Field. Kick-off for that match is at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available through SeattleSounders.net.
