Bio: 2006 marks the first full season with Seattle for Midfielder Jake Sagare. Joining the Sounders midway through the 2005 season, Sagare played 755 total minutes helping the Sounders earn the 2005 USL First Division Championship.
The Yakima, Wash. native was drafted by the Portland Timbers in the 2002 USL First Division College Draft. In three seasons with the Timbers, Sagare accumulated five goals and nine assists in 52 games. Last season, Sagare signed with Sounders rival, the Vancouver Whitecaps prior to joining the Seattle side in late June.
Sagare played collegiate soccer at the University of Washington, where he was a two-time Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team selection.
Between college seasons, Sagare played for three years with the Yakima Reds (1998-2000) in the Premier Development League (PDL) and one with the Seattle Sounders Select (2001).
