Bio: As a USL First Div. rookie, Midfielder Brent Whitfield was the Sounders second leading scorer in 2005. He recorded six goals and three assists for 15 points in 25 games.
Prior to playing for the Sounders, Whitfield played for the Premier Development League’s (PDL) Southern California Seahorses.
As a midfielder at Cal State Fullerton (CSFU), Whitfield tallied 23 career goals, nine assists for 55 points. In his senior season in 2003, Whitfield was a Second Team All-Big West Conference selection as he led the CSFU Titans in scoring with nine goals and 18 points. In 2002 Whitfield recorded a team-leading five assists.
Whitfield received Co-CIF Player of the Year honors and was selected as the CIF Finals MVP in his senior season (1998) at Long Beach Poly HS.
