Bio: A 2005 USL First Division Rookie of the Year Finalist, Midfielder C.J. Klaas played more minutes (2336) than any other rookie on the team as the Sounders made their Championship run. Klass recorded one goal and five assists in 2005.
Klaas joined the Sounders in 2005 after a successful collegiate career at the Univ. of Washington. As a Husky, Klaas was a two-time NSCAA/Adidas All-American First Team selection, the first player in UW Men’s Soccer history to achieve such honors. Klaas was also the first player in Pac-10 Soccer history to earn four All-Conference honors.
A member of the U-20 National Team for a year and a half; Klaas traveled to the Middle East for the 2004 World Youth Championships in United Arab Emirates. Playing in every match, Klass helped the U.S. capture fifth place in the World.
